Blog 14 - Third Interview Preparation

1.  Who do you plan to interview?  What is this person's area of expertise?

• I plan to interview Monica Leon (Isaiah Leon's mom). She was a teacher for eleven years, has been a principal for three years at Pedley Elementary, and she's written a children's book. 

2.  Verify that you have called your interviewee to schedule an interview.  What is the date and time of the interview? 

• I'll be interviewing her two weeks from now on a Wednesday at 2pm.

3.  Phrase an open-ended question that will help you find research resources that would help to answer the EQ.

• What sources did you find most helpful when you began teaching in the classroom. 

4.  Phrase an open-ended question that will help you think about other useful activities you might do to help you answer the EQ (IC2, possible experts to talk to, etc).

• As a principal, what kinds of sources or advice do you give to your teachers.

5.  Phrase two open-ended questions that help you to understand your interviewee's perspective on an aspect of your EQ.

• How can a kindergarten teacher create a positive learning environment?
• What methods have you personally found to be most effective in the classroom. Are the students engaged?
